It's a cheeseburger macaron! You have to get it!!
Blackflower Patisserie is a new patisserie that has opened opposite Haymarket and close to UTS library. I found out about Blackflower Patisserie at UNSW's orientation week, they were giving out free ice cream (definitely a good marketing scheme). I googled the patisserie and discovered that it situated very close my previous university (UTS). As my friend was waiting for a much awaited catch up I suggested that we go to Blackflower to try it out.
Blackflower Patisserie has a selection of different cakes, macarons, drinks (hot and cold), savoury food and pastry. My friends and I were very indecisive (like usual) about what to order. We ended up ordering a cake called 'Chaos' which is basically a layered pipe cake, 3 drinks- 2 ice chocolates and 1 vanilla milkshake and 2 macarons- 1 salted caramel and 1 cheeseburger macaron.
The bill altogether was around $29- all of us were a bit shocked by how expensive it was. None the less it did satisfy my sweet cravings :)

Overall verdict:
The 'Chaos' cake was very tasty, except it fell apart really easily and it got quite messy but other than that it is a must try!
The cheeseburger macaroon is a MUST MUST try! (I think it is a limited edition macaron- so get it quick before it disappears!) There are so many different flavours in the macaron but it all just works together and it was definitely not what I expected :)
The patisserie has limited seats, so this might not be the best place for big groups. The kitchen is also visible from the seating area so you can observe the chefs cooking the food, which is always a fascinating experience!
