So a new friend of mine all the way from Japan wanted to try either Yum Cha or Vietnamese food, since she had never tried it before. As our outing was scheduled on a Sunday there was no way we would get an immediate table, because everyone goes to Yum Cha in Chinatown on a Sunday! :P So we opted for our second choice- Pho Pasteur! I remember eating at Pho Pasteur as a young kid, so it was good to go back to a place I hadn't been at in so long!
Pho Pasteur is located on George St, just a short walk from Central Station and Market City. Apparently they have THE best pho.. and I must say they do! :D We decided to order the typical Vietnamese dishes, like grilled pork and spring rolls with vermicelli, combination broken rice with fried egg and of course PHO- beef rice noodle soup :)
Just a note- Pho Pasteur doesn't look very clean and it looks very old- school (a given since it has been there for so long!), even the waiters don't look very clean. But I assure you the food is clean :) I hope...
Pho Pasteur is definitely a good place to eat for students or those on a budget- you get cheap and good/ large proption of food :D So it's definitely worth your money :)

Overall, if you're looking for a cheap eat this is the place to go! Don't go if you want clean and good service (the service is quick) but you'll definitely get authentic Vietnamese food- they also have 2 other branches in Paramatta (137 Church St) and Blacktown (Westpoint Shopping Centre Patrick St).
