This is my second visit to Isabella's, located on Alison Rd- Randwick, my friend who brought me here really likes the food here and I definitely know why! On my first visit to Isabella's I was not that hungry so I ordered the breakfast muesli- all I remember was that it was far too sweet (too much honey I think) that it got quite sickening to eat. On that visit my friend ordered a super delicious chicken pasta :) So I guess some dishes are winners and others are just losers :P
So on this occasion we decided to go for breakfast and I've got to say that Isabella's breakfast is definitely a winner! They have a large selection of breakfast dishes to choose from- sweet and savory. I ended up order the pork belly omelette and my friend ordered the sweet corn fritter with bacon and poached eggs. The prices for the dishes are extremely worth it- my omelette was $8.50 and it was HUGE!! I was about to explode after the meal :P I think the prices and the portions of the dish is something that I will definitely be going back for.
The decor of Isabella's reminds me sort of like a Chinese restaurant (not saying anything is wrong with Chinese restaurants but I think they focus more on the food than the decor)- the kitchen was exposed from where I was sitting, so I could see the cleaners washing the dishes and all the storage items. The tables and seats were also very close to each other, luckily it wasn't crowded or it would have felt like the people next to you were sharing the table with you! Other than that the food is all that matters :)

Slow roasted pork belly omelette | Caramalised onion chutney and mushroom with linseed sourdough toast | $8.50
The slow roasted pork belly omelette was absolutely massive! It took up almost half the plate, I was definitely pleased with the generous portion of this dish. Inside the omelette was pork belly, caramlised onions and mushrooms. The omelette was a little bit oily, that is understandable since there was pork belly inside. The pork belly was juicy and tender, I think the worst thing is when pork belly is overcooked leaving it dry.
Sweet corn fritter | w/ ricotta, caramalised pumpkin and bacon, poached egg and toast | $8.50
This is my friend's sweet corn fritter dish- she gave me some to try, I didn't think it was anything special but it was pretty tasty. They also gave her a generous amount of bacon! Also the poached eggs were nice and runny- cooked to perfection :)
Both dishes
Mocha | $3.50
Overall, I really enjoyed the food at Isabella's. The service is also really good, the waiters are very polite and friendly and were constantly willing to help.
If you want cheap and big portioned quality food, Isabella's on Alison Rd Randwick is the place to go :)
