So I went to Forresters a very long time ago but I think it deserves a blog post/ review but it was just that good! :)
The Forresters is located in Surry Hills on Riley Street (in between Central station and Messina on Crown St). Forresters is a the latest corner pub, which is run by the same guy behind the Abercrombie, Flinders, Norfolk and Carrington.. so you definitely know you're in good hands :)
We came here on Saturday around lunch time and surprisingly it was not that crowded. There are a lot of tables available in the glass house area, the spaces around the pub are usually the more popular areas.
The menu has a lot of different dishes to choose from. They even have a snack menu that is perfect if you want something light to eat. They also have larger dishes such as pizza, schnitzel, pasta and burgers , which I recommend you order to share with friends. We ended up ordering: a pulled pork slider, poppers, meatball pizza and chicken schnitzel. The food is a bit slow to come out considering it was not that busy.
Pulled Pork Slider | w/ Korean slaw & peanut mayo | $5.50
Poppers | Stuffed peppers w/ chicken, pork & sriracha mayo | $12
Chicken Schnitzel | nap or parm w/ slaw and parmesan fries | $22
A meatball affair | Meatballs & smoked mozzarella | $22
Grab some friends and go try it out for yourself :)
Happy eating! :D
