After my friend and I organised a long overdue catch up I thought this place would be a good location to meet, as it is conveniently located close to Central Station and the bus stops needed to catch the bus to uni.
We arrived at Toast Cafe around 9:30am, it was not that crowded which was good. We were immediately greeted by a staff and we were able to choose to sit wherever we wanted. There are a lot of seats inside and outside the cafe, and there are different sized tables to cater for different sized groups.
The breakfast menu offers are vast amount of dishes to suite different tastes. There are savory and sweet options to choose from. I always have the problem of deciding what to order, usually before I go to a restaurant or cafe I like to look it up to see if it has any "must eat" dishes. Toast cafe does not have any "must have" dishes so I decided to order the Sweet corn & kaffir lime fritters. My friend ordered the Bacon & egg roll. We both also ordered mochas to go with our breakfast.
Sweet corn & kaffir lime fritters | Poached egg, grilled halloumi, salsa, avacado & chilli jam (gluten free) | $17.00
Bacon & egg roll | w/ chilli jam (organic fried egg only) | $9.50
Mocha | $3.80
The staff were extremely friendly and polite which is always a big plus for me :)
I don't think there is anything that would draw me back to Toast Cafe other than the atmosphere, it is a very nice place to catch up with friends, family or even study/ spend time with yourself :)
Let me know if there is a "must eat" dish at Toast Cafe and I'll definitely be going back!
